The Dalton Highway AKA the Haul road.
In the lower 1/3rd of the image the Trans-Alaska pipeline can be seen with a work truck driving along kicking up dust. The pipeline is 800 miles long and pumps oil from the northern to the southern coast where it can be shipped out and refined.
Although this is called a highway it is incredibly remote with only a few outposts for supplies along the way. It pays to be prepared up here; I am always checking how much fuel I have and carry an extra set of any critical gear. I try to drive the highway at least once a year to hunt. It is an unforgiving but extremely rewarding environment to experience.

I love sunburst shots like this. They make for great photos and are only possible for a minute or less as the sun just begins to crest the horizon. The anticipation is probably my favorite part. The photos are just a bonus.
