Eyes of the Buddah

A shrine or “Stupa” in Nepal surrounded by prayer flags blowing in the wind. If you look closely you can see a Raven resting on the very top of the shrine. I patiently waited for this photo opportunity; the Ravens eventually cooperated and one landed perfectly on top.

This photo was taken on a morning walk of a small village high in the Himalayas. I was hoping to make good use of the golden hour but valley walls surrounding the village were so steep the sun likely wouldn’t illuminate the area until the late morning. I took advantage of the low light conditions and lengthened my shutter speed to capture the motion of the fluttering flags.
